In 2025, our team once again participated in Metalex 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand. As the largest and most influential machine tool and metalworking exhibition in the ASEAN region, Metalex 2025 was not only an industry gathering but also an important opportunity for us to study the Thai market, meet customers, and observe trends. This year marks the 39th edition of Metalex, held grandly at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), attracting exhibitors and professionals from around the world.

The four day Metalex 2025 show took place from November 19 to 22. Our team departed on the 17th and completed booth setup on the 18th. During setup, we observed that the scale of Metalex had expanded again, with exhibitors from China, Japan, Thailand, and many other regions. Notably, an entire section of Metalex was occupied by Japanese companies, reflecting their strong focus on the ASEAN market.

Opening Day: Strong Visitor Flow and High Engagement at Metalex 2025

On the first day of Metalex 2025, the exhibition hall was quickly filled with crowds, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere. Our sales team immediately began introducing products to visitors, showcasing machine tool operation videos and explaining technical details. Given the professional nature of Metalex, many customers showed strong interest in machining specifications, automation features, and application cases, and our team provided detailed technical materials to support the discussions.

A large portion of the visitors at Metalex were from China, and many Chinese enterprises participated as exhibitors as well. Meanwhile, a large cluster of Japanese brands was positioned near our booth, highlighting once again the international reach and influence of Metalex.

Three Local Thai Customers Provided Real Market Feedback

Although Metalex attracted many Chinese visitors, several local Thai customers also visited our booth. On the first day, three Thai customers stopped by to review our product catalog and discuss our gear machining equipment. Since they are gear manufacturers themselves, they were already familiar with processes such as hobbing, shaping, broaching, and gear grinding. They showed strong interest in our solutions for gear production.

During Metalex 2025, we connected with them via WhatsApp and also asked about their annual production capacity in Thailand. This helped us evaluate the potential scale of the Thai gear machining market. Their feedback confirmed that Thailand's demand for gear-related machine tools continues to grow, especially in sectors such as automotive, motorcycles, and agricultural machinery.

Beyond managing our booth, we also explored other halls of Metalex to observe competitors and industry trends. Many exhibitors showcased their newest machining equipment and automation solutions. By exchanging experiences with industry peers at Metalex, we gained additional insights into market conditions and even collected contact details from several potential customers from Thailand and other ASEAN countries.

We also connected with long-term partners who were exhibiting at Metalex. We exchanged feedback regarding booth costs, exhibit shipment, visitor traffic, potential customer quality, and overall exhibition performance. Most exhibitors agreed that Metalex 2025 had higher professional value and more targeted inquiries, suggesting rising manufacturing capability and demand in Thailand.
